This was only a minor inconvenience. While not a problem, one gripe I have deals with the manual. It is very explanatory (and actually unnecessary, the program is so simple), but it is only printed on one side per page. This doubled the size of the manual and made it annoying to read. Plus, it’s a waste of good trees.</span><span class="style5">Conclusion</span><span class="style1">Overall, I don’t know how I lived without the tremendous ease of this program. I have a Wacom board, but found the tools operatrd slower with the pen than with the mouse. Also the brush tool in Zeus does not seem to be as pressure sensitive as in other programs such as PhotoShop.The first thing you will see is a very complex, but well laid out and thought out, work area. <text><span class="style1"></span><span class="style5">New Items from Apple Computer</span><span class="style1">As I write this, Apple has plans to release the new Performa models IIvx and IIvi. These units will replace the IIsi and IIci eventually in the consumer markets. Apple is now looking to cut prices and sell through Price Club, Sears and by mail order. The unfortunate reality for most of us is that our computer values will drop drastically and we will see little increased productivity from the new machines. It appears that Apple believes the only way to increase market share is to decrease prices and to come out with a new model every few months. I would not recom-mend purchasing a new Macintosh unit until some of this settles down. Most dealers will be forced to sell IBM clones as well with Apples </span></text>

<text>AMUG Training:AMUG is happy to announce an arrangement with Phoenix College to use their Microcomputer Lab for our classes. This is exciting as we will have 29 Macintosh LC computers to use, so we can do more hands-on type of training with a minimum of setup time. As a result, all prior announcements of classes in this section are cancelled and are being rescheduled.Schedules are not quite entirely firm at this time, but we are tentatively announcing the Canvas 3.0 hands-on session for February 1, 1992 at the Phoenix College, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The lab is in the basement of the Library Building (building L) which is on the South side of the Campus. Park in the North parking area, on 15th Avenue just North of Thomas Road. NOTE: You must call the AMUG Information, 277-5142, to verify the date, place, and time prior to February 1, 1992We will also be rescheduling our introductory classes. These classes will be held in the evenings from 6-8 PM. There will be three 2-hour sessions starting in mid-February. The classes will use MacWrite 5.0 and MacPaint 2.0 as example applications. These classes will be repeated about 10 weeks later.We will also be having three 2-hour sessions on MicroSoft Word starting near the end of February or Early March.By the time you read this, the schedules should be firm.
